Starbucks still ships Ben Gibbard and Zooey Deschanel.

Can we just take a moment to relish the irony in this tweet of Ben Gibbard’s? Because like, you know 50% of the people who have previously crossed the Bridge to Terebithia have been in love with their music teachers. And WHO is the music teacher.

My friend Ben sent me a recording of Tiny Vessels that he took at Death Cab’s show in Seattle tonight. In the original song he says “I spent two weeks in Silver Lake…” and “There was a girl with light brown streaks…”

HOWEVER, in tonight’s version he switched it up to “I spent three years in Silver Lake” and “There was a girl with dark brown streaks…”

Hmm, I WONDER who he is talking about.

She added that since becoming single she has spent a lot more time with sister Emily Deschaneland her “cute” new baby Henry.

“I’m a little clueless around babies. But I’m obsessed with my nephew. He’s so cute,” Zooey said.

Deschanel and Gibbard announced their engagement in December 2008 before marrying in a private ceremony near Seattle, Washington in 2009.

turn-it-around asked: They havent even mentioned the word "divorce" have they? I keep seeing "split" or "separated" but not "divorce". I feel like Zooey's fame that has been growing for the past few years didnt help the situation.

There are a few sources that say “the intention is to move forward with a divorce.” And I agree. With Zooey’s new found fame, and the Death Cab tour, it was probably very difficult for the two of them to make time for each other and really work on their marriage.
